1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Virel. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Description of Service

Virel is a personal finance assistant that helps you:

• Identify the best credit card to use for a given purchase category.
• Track and analyse your spending across multiple credit cards.
• Earn Virel Coins through spend logging and daily engagement.
• Compare prices across travel, food, medicines, cab, and other platforms.
• Browse and apply for new credit cards via affiliate partner links.
• Import transactions automatically via Gmail or SMS (with your permission).

Virel is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any bank or card issuer unless explicitly stated.

3. Account Registration

• You may register using Google Sign-In or an email and password.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it updated.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately at support@getvirel.co if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Affiliate Disclosure

Virel participates in affiliate marketing programmes. When you click a link on our website or app to apply for a credit card, book travel, order food or medicines, hail a cab, invest in mutual funds, or purchase insurance, we may earn a referral commission from the respective third-party provider.

This commission is paid by the third-party provider and does not affect the price you pay.

Affiliate links are clearly disclosed with language such as "Virel may earn a commission" or the rel="sponsored" attribute in HTML. Our editorial recommendations are based on objective data and are not influenced by affiliate relationships.

Current affiliate programme categories include:

• Credit card applications (HDFC, SBI, ICICI, Axis, Kotak, AmEx, IndusInd, and others)
• Travel booking — flights, trains, buses (IndiGo, Air India, MakeMyTrip, EaseMyTrip, IRCTC, RedBus, Abhibus, and others)
• Food delivery (Swiggy, Zomato, and others)
• Medicine delivery (PharmEasy, 1mg, Netmeds, Apollo, and others)
• Cab booking (Ola, Uber, Rapido, Namma Yatri, and others)
• Investment platforms (Groww, Zerodha, INDmoney, Kuvera, and others)
• Insurance providers
• Utilities — recharge, DTH, FASTag, electricity, and others

5. Not Financial Advice

All information provided by Virel — including credit card recommendations, reward rate calculations, and spend analyses — is for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

Credit card reward structures change frequently. Always verify current terms, interest rates, and fees directly with the card issuer before applying or making financial decisions.

Virel is not a registered financial advisor. We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on information provided by the Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically download data from the website or app.
• Upload or transmit viruses or any malicious code.
• Impersonate another user or provide false information.
• Use the Service to spam or send unsolicited communications.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Virel app and website — including text, graphics, logos, icons, and software — is the property of Virel and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

8. Third-Party Services

Virel links to and integrates with third-party platforms (travel booking sites, food delivery apps, investment platforms, etc.). These third parties have their own terms of service and privacy policies. Virel is not responsible for the content, practices, or actions of third-party services.

Your use of a third-party service is governed by that service's own terms.

9. Virel Coins & Rewards

• Virel Coins are earned in-app and have no monetary value unless specifically redeemed for a voucher or offer we make available.
• Coins are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Virel Coins programme at any time with reasonable notice.
• Coins earned through fraudulent or abusive activity will be forfeited and your account may be suspended.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Virel and its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed ₹1,000 (Indian Rupees) or the amount you paid to use the Service, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Virel and its team from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time from within the app.

On termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 5, 7, 10, 11, and 12 survive termination.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. For material changes, we will notify you via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
